November 5, 2021, Congratulations to IWF NorCal Member Zelma Long, whose South African produced wine, Vilafonte, was awarded the Trophy for Best Wine Producer of 2021, from the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London (in 2021 the competition judged 7000 wines from 37 countries). April 1, 2020, In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment and Women’s History Month, the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) is honoring women who have risen above the challenges and barriers of advancement in order to achieve success in the legal profession. On April 1, MCCA honored IWF NorCal member Michelle Banks, Senior Advisor at BarkerGilmore LLC where she specializes in providing executive coaching to corporate general counsel in development. IWF NorCal member Amy Logan was honored at the Global Voices Film Festival 2019 by the board of the US National Committee for UN Women who named the festival’s prize for Best Feature Film the Amy Logan Visionary Award. Amy was the founder of the festival in 2015, a jurist at each of the three festivals, and was president of the board of USNC-UN Women SF 2015-2019. She now serves as chair of the organization’s advisory board.
On February 14, 2019, IWF NorCal member Nanette Lee Miller received the Community Champion Award and IWF NorCal member Loretta Doon received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Distinguished Accounting Awards Ceremony held at the Merchants Exchange Club. Read
December 14, 2018 - IWF NorCal members, Cora Tellez, Director, HMS Holdings, Pacific Premier Bank and Priya Huskins, Director, Realty Income Corporation have been honored as "directors to watch who bring diversity and expertise to the boardroom." Directors & Boards, a quarterly journal on topics of leadership and corporate governance, recently published their annual roster of Directors to Watch, featuring 19 honorees and commentary on the importance of gender, ethnic, and racial diversity on boards. October 5, 2018 - Rosylene Swig and Toni Rembe recognized for philanthropy work
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Gate, has selected IWF NorCal members Rosylene (Cissie) Swig to receive the 2018 Lifetime Achievement award, and Toni Rembe (along with Arthur Rock) for the 2018 award for Outstanding Philanthropist. September 25, 2018 - Congratulations to IWF NorCal member Heidi Kuhn, Founder and CEO, of Roots of Peace, who was awarded the inaugural Earth Ethics Prize for her achievements in Peace and Humanitarian Excellence, at the United Nations on the International Day of Peace, September 21. September 19, 2018 - Congratulations to IWF NorCal member Ana Pinczuk, former President and General Manager at HPE, who is receiving the Development Award at Watermark’s 25th Annual Make Your Mark Awards on November 15. The awards celebrate women, men, and companies Who Make Their Mark - leaders who are driving change for women within their companies or organizations, and beyond! Ana’s award, the Development Award is given to a woman who helps develop women.
July 26, 2018 - IWF member and co-founder of Collective Impact Partners Kathryn Johnson was awarded the #ShesGotHerBack Award at the US National Committee for UN Women: San Francisco Bay Area Chapter's Annual Meeting & Celebration. Kathryn spoke about an inspiring vision of gender equality and offered hopeful strategies to get there. June 25, 2018 - Congratulations to IWF NorCal member Eleanor Chang who has recently been honored by Mount Holyoke College with the Alumnae Medal of Honor. This award is presented to her for her eminent service in promoting the effectiveness of the Alumnae Association and the College. The medal was awarded based on her consistently significant leadership, specific accomplishments, and stellar service over an extended period of time and her broad-based involvement across multiple areas, which include classes, clubs, global regions, groups, the Alumnae Association, and the College. June 18, 2018 - Congratulations to IWF NorCal member Paola Gianturco, author of Wonder Girls: Changing our World, which has won two prizes in the 2017 Book of the Year Awards: Gold in the Women’s Studies category and Silver in Multicultural Nonfiction. In Wonder Girls, Paola Gianturco and her eleven-year-old granddaughter documented the work of fifteen girl-led nonprofit groups in thirteen countries in Asia and Central Asia, North and Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania. They interviewed and photographed 90 girls - girls who are changing our world right now! Learn more and be inspired!

Congratulations to IWF NorCal members Paula Collins and Mary Cranston who are being honored with the San Francisco Business Times Inspire Awards! The Inspire Awards recognize women who have achieved the highest leadership roles, and the 2018 recipients are three extraordinary women on corporate boards. In their respective interviews, Paula and Mary speak about the need for more diversity on boards and the importance of being able to persuade others to be an effective board member. They also highlight that networking and mentoring are key components to continue efforts to help improve the number of women on boards.
