Mora and special guest Sabrina Ashjian. This discussion will cover the most important new laws that should be on your radar as well as those which did not become law and why.

Speaker Bios:

Beth Mora is a passionate and accomplished advocate for those facing a wide range of employment law issues. Beth’s commitment to social justice and volunteerism is deeply rooted in her personal values. Due to her advocacy, Beth is often invited to speak, has published numerous articles as well as has been quoted in legal journals, including Bloomberg Law, Daily Journal, and Law 360 on issues impacting employees and the legal community. From the courthouse to the boardroom, Beth is a committed advocate for her clients and community.


Sabrina Ashjian has extensive public policy, strategic planning, environmental, regulatory, and legislative experience. She currently teaches and serves as project director of the California Environmental Legislation & Policy Clinic at the Emmett Institute on Climate Change & the Environment at UCLA School of Law. She previously taught and supervised the environmental law clinic at UC Berkeley School of Law. Prior to that she advanced animal welfare legislation. She spent nearly a decade in the courtroom as a consumer fraud & environmental protection prosecutor and public defender.
