Women CEOs in the US: Performance & Impact

Thursday, August 28
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Pacific)
You may have heard about or read the research reports that document the outperformance of companies with more women in leadership and balanced boards, but did you know that the actual performance is tracked and available on a daily basis now?
The Hypatia Women CEO Index is a unique financial instrument that measures the performance of American public companies with female CEOs, with data from 2018, effectively delivering the Female Factor. In January of 2023, Hypatia Capital launched the WCEO ETF, the only pure play investment vehicle available in the US public markets to invest in companies run by women CEOs.
Hypatia’s investment thesis is that women CEOs will outperform. Their data shows that women CEOs transform the talent pipeline through more balanced leadership teams.
This fact-filled, inspirational presentation will cover:
- Who are the women CEOs in US public companies?
- How do they perform?
- How do they lead?
- What is the impact?
IWF NorCal member Julie Castro Abrams will host this session and interview IWF Peru member Patricia Lizarraga, founder and Chief Investment Officer of Hypatia Capital. We are grateful to IWF NorCal member Kathryn Johnson for bringing this program to our membership.
