Forever Fly Free
One Woman’s Story of Resilience and the Power of Hope and Love
with IWF NorCal member Jenny Brandemuehl

Wednesday, September 17th
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Pacific)

Join us for a special virtual event with IWF NorCal member Jenny Brandemuehl, the author of Forever Fly Free – One Woman’s Story of Resilience and the Power of Hope and Love. Come hear her share her inspiring story of how she discovered the power of miracles, love and hope after her husband Mark was rescued by a Good Samaritan from his burning plane minutes before it exploded. Mark miraculously survived with severe burn injuries on 80% of his body. Her harrowing five month journey with him at the Arizona Burn Center is a testimony to the power and strength of the human spirit.

Coming out of the other side of tragedy taught her that if we are open, life will show us signs and synchronicities to help us navigate the storms of life. Everyone can access their inner wisdom and strength to overcome difficult circumstances. She’ll share her journey of personal healing after Mark’s passing and the insightful revelations that led her to more deeply appreciate life, discover her second act and to find love again.

As Viktor Frankl said, “When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

Jenny now lives life with the simple purpose to “inspire others and to be inspired.”

After she shares her story, the session will be interactive with time for Q&A and everyone is invited to share their thoughts.

Pre-session self-reflection questions:

  • What do you think differentiates people who bounce back after loss or a painful life event and those who don’t recover?
  • Have you made a decision or took action based on your intuition or your inner voice? What happened?
  • Have you doubted your intuition or inner voice and not followed through? What happened?

Speaker Bio:

Jenny Brandemuehl is the author of Forever Fly Free – One Woman’s Story of Resilience and the Power of Hope and Love to be released in October 2025 by Regalo Press. She’s an advocate for families who’ve lost a loved one to a traumatic accident and is a speaker and author on personal resilience. She’ll be speaking at the 2025 Annual Burn Congress hosted by the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors in November 2025.

As a kid, her dream was to be a writer and archaeologist. Now into her second act after her corporate career, she said, “I had no idea that my first book would be my personal story and how events would deeply change me. I now understand what Eckhart Tolle meant when he said, Life's an adventure, not a package tour."

Prior to becoming an author and speaker, she was a corporate leader, leading team and organizational transformations. As the former Chief People Officer at Chegg, Inc., she helped take the company public in 2013. Her team scaled their talent and culture to become a Fortune Magazine Top 100 Best Place to Work for Medium Sized Companies. Prior to Chegg, she was in leadership roles at JDS Uniphase, Gap Inc. and Hewlett Packard.

Jenny served on the Wellesley College Business Leadership Board as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. She was also a member of the Board for Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment (WISE), an Oakland based non-profit that trained and empowered low-income women to become successful entrepreneurs. Jenny co-founded WISE’s Silicon Valley chapter to bring their services to women in San Jose, California.
